Anderson Symphony Chamber Orchestra (ASO Chamber)

Founded in 1990 as the GAMAC Chamber Orchestra the ASO Chamber Orchestra is comprised of professional instrumentalists chosen from the Anderson area and neighboring communities.  The ensemble is featured in nearly all Masterworks Series concerts with soloists and with the GAMAC Chorale.  Professional training and experience are required to become a member of this ensemble.

GAMAC Chorale

Renamed the GAMAC Chorale in 1990, the ensemble began in 1970 as the Anderson Civic Chorale and is comprised of 80+ volunteer vocalists.  The Chorale performs 3 times annually with the GAMAC Chamber Orchestra.  The ensemble has performed much of the great choral literature. Membership in the Chorale is by audition and is open to all talented adult singers.

Anderson Symphony Orchestra (ASO)

Founded in 1975, the Anderson Symphony Orchestra is a civic orchestra comprised of volunteer instrumentalists, college students from Anderson University and talented high school students.  The ensemble presents its own concert series as part of GAMAC's annual concert season. Membership is by audition.

Anderson Children’s Choir

Formed in 2013 as the GAMAC Children's Chorus, the Anderson Children’s Choir is comprised of boys and girls ages 8-10.  The mission of the chorus is to teach children to achieve high artistic and personal standards through choral music singing and performance. Children receive professional instruction in vocal technique and music literacy while learning lessons in teamwork, friendship, confidence, self-discipline and character. Membership is by audition and is open to all talented young singers in grades 3-5. Call 864-231-6147 for audition information.

The Electric City Big Band

Founded in 1982 and performing in the tradition of America's big bands, the ensemble performs popular, current , and nostalgic selections of music with wide appeal.  The group is presented as part of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra series and is well known for it's USO Sweetheart's Dance.  This is a semi-professional ensemble.  Membership is by audition and is open to experienced performers.
