GAMAC Youth Chorus

The GAMAC Youth Chorus under the direction of Dr. Shannon Jeffreys is seeking talented young singers in grades 9-12. Membership is by audition only. Singers will be required to sing My Country ‘Tis of Thee in several keys. To schedule an audition appointment, please call the GAMAC office at (864) 231-6147.

Founded in 1995, participants in the Youth Chorus learn the fundamentals of healthy, artistic singing technique while gaining a firm foundation in Music Literacy. Rehearsals are held weekly and there is a modest tuition fee to participate. Scholarship assistance is available. Concerts for the year will include a showcase concert in the Fall, GAMAC’s Gullah-bration! and a full length musical. Other activities include Christmas caroling and holiday parties.

GAMAC Youth Chorus auditions are open to all talented students in grades 9-12 regardless of race, religion, or creed.
