Chorale / Chamber Singers

Anderson, SC——The Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC) Chorale under the direction of Dr. Vivian Hamilton will hold auditions for talented new members on Monday, August 11 and again on Monday, August 25 beginning at 7:00p.m.. Singers interested in auditioning should be prepared to vocalize and sight-read a short choral excerpt in addition to performing a short prepared piece of their own choosing such as a hymn, folk or patriotic song. Founded in 1990, the Chorale is comprised of over 80 community avocational and professional singers. The ensemble will present 3 concerts during GAMAC’s 2008-2009 Concert Season with professional orchestra. Literature for the season will include Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess, Poulenc’s Gloria and Ralph Vaughn Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem.

GAMAC Chorale auditions are open to all talented singers regardless of race, religion, gender or creed.
